Loss

This poem explores the complexities of life, revealing how things that seem simple at first often turn out to be the most tangled. It reflects on human behavior and highlights how our thought patterns can vary dramatically when confronted with life's challenges.

LOSS

Everything was great

Exciting yet subtle

I just couldn't wait

To talk and cuddle

Like a breeze of wind

Gentle and fresh

Brimming with love

Ready to Caress

Things moved fast

Moments grew intense

loaded with excitement

Our faces always lit

We were all smiles

Our hearts Kept racing

The spark in our eyes

Butteflies in stomach dancing

Truly genuine it felt

with every passing day

But who was to know

The snow was to thaw

The blinding aura faded away

Sense instilled by those closeby

Situation seemed bright as a sunny day

Yet my heart wouldn't sway

With time changed our priorities

Meetups started suffering

The absence only meant

Cravings kept on increasing

Emotions simmered for months

longing to let free

Actions said it louder than words

with biting lips and mingling fingers

Not long after the evening came

An air of enigma surrounded us

with tension brimming in the cauldron of love

It was now or never after

Breaking the shackles of rationale

Our hearts felt alive

Confessions poured in

For each other, we both felt alike

Things got serious

My mind took over

For love is a committment

I wasn't ready to take over

Attachment is what i fear

To a person so live and dear

For i am unable to reciprocate

The love and enthu she radiates

with a flood of thoughts ravaging my head

I listen to those closeby

Let logic preceede my inner voice

I leave no room for choice

As her face turns red in dismay

My hands tremble to make her stay

with a shattered look in her eyes

My heavy heart bids goodbye

Alone today I stand

Living in my own bubble

Everyday sans zeal and drive

Somethings don't feel right

I still miss those long talks

Her gentle touch and warm embrace

It never fails me to think

Have I done the right thing?
